The versatility of their sound as a trio and the diverse musical backgrounds of its three members has made Trip Trip Trip the focus of attention of several Colombian contemporary composers, who have written a number of pieces specially for them.
Trip Trip Trip’s discography includes four albums: trip, trip, trip (2012), …que cosa tan seria (2014), Como quien oye llover (2017) and Ireneo (2024)
In 2016, they were invited to the Research and Music Festival at Fontys (Tilburg, Netherlands). Their appearances in Europe in 2017 and 2018 included the showcase at classical:Next in the Netherlands and an invitation to the prestigious Früling classical music festival in Heidelberg, Germany.
In 2019, Trip Trip Trip celebrated 10 years of uninterrupted work at the Teatro Julio Mario Santo Domingo in Bogotá, alongside a tour through Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and France, performing at the Aalborg International Guitar Festival, Baerum Kulturhus in Norway, the Koninklijk Conservatorium in the Netherlands, and Guitarras del Mundo in Perpignan, France. In 2021, they produced two videos featuring music by Giraldo and Quevedo, curated by the renowned maestro Yalilé Cardona for the Americas Society Council of the Americas, NYC Cultural Affairs. That same year, they presented a concert titled *Memoria* at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo, premiering seven works commissioned from Colombian composers.
In 2023, they performed at the Festival Centro in Bogotá, the concert hall of the Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango, and the Teatro del Banco de la República in Girardot. They were also selected by the Gilberto Alzate Foundation for its 2023 VideoClip Grant. In 2024, they were chosen as winners of the ensemble’s call for the Periferia Festival, recognized for their repertoire, composers, and music that significantly represent contemporary Colombia. They recorded their *Trip Trip Trip: Antiguerra Sessions* with the Bajo Control Foundation as part of the festival.
On 2024 July 11, the video for the aforementioned award was launched in collaboration with FUGA at the Auditorio del Muelle. Now a days Trip Trip Trip was part of the prestigious Cartagena Music Festival 2025 “chant of the sea” as chamber music Colombian ensamble.
